Enugu LG polls: Nwanjoku Is Worth Voting For!” — Ndi Aninri Speak on Performance, Continuity and the Future of Aninri
ANINRI, ENUGU — As political discussions intensify ahead of the next local government election, attention in Aninri is increasingly shifting from political promises to projects, performance and visible development.
At the centre of the conversation is the administration of Hon. Prince Ugochukwu Nwanjoku, with supporters pointing to ongoing and completed interventions as evidence that the administration deserves continuity.
One of the most notable projects is the ongoing 200-bed General Hospital in Oduma. A July 2026 report by Vanguard stated that the project had reached the lintel stage, with completion projected for December 2026.
The proposed facility is expected to include a 200-bed hospital, doctors’ quarters and a medical laboratory.
For many residents, the hospital represents more than another construction project. It would significantly strengthen healthcare delivery in Aninri by providing a higher level of care and receiving referrals from primary healthcare centres.
Electricity, Roads and Grassroots Development,
Electricity restoration is another area cited by community stakeholders. Reports from February 2026 quoted community leaders commending the administration for electricity interventions and other development efforts across the local government.
Rural-road interventions have also featured in discussions around the administration's record, particularly because improved road access can make it easier for residents to reach communities, farms, markets and essential services.
The administration has also been associated with the development of a new legislative and administrative secretariat, as well as security and empowerment initiatives highlighted by community stakeholders.
Taken together, supporters argue that these interventions provide residents with tangible areas through which the administration can be assessed: healthcare, electricity, roads, administrative infrastructure, security and grassroots development.
The Argument for Continuity
The case being made by Nwanjoku's supporters is straightforward: ongoing projects require continuity to achieve their full impact.
The 200-bed hospital, in particular, has become a major reference point in the argument for giving the administration more time to complete and consolidate its development agenda.
But ultimately, the decision belongs to Ndi Aninri.
Residents have the responsibility to examine what has been completed, what is still under construction, what impact the projects are having and how public resources have been utilised.
Politics should not replace accountability.
Look at the projects. Examine the record. Ask the questions. Then make your decision.
For supporters of the current administration, however, the message is already clear:
“Nwanjoku Is Worth Voting For!”
The projects are there to be examined. The record is there to be judged. And Ndi Aninri will have the final say.
